Who doesn't love a freebie?

 

New customers often expect an enticing offer when they first encounter your brand, but how can you make that work for your business?

 

Maybe you've tried running a giveaway before, only to find the effort didn't pay off as you hoped?

 

Or perhaps you attracted a flood of new customers, but they vanished just as quickly!

 

It's time to unlock the true potential of a well-planned giveaway for genuine business growth, and I'm here to show you how!

There are many reasons why retailers launch giveaways, but let's break down the why, when and how they can support your goals and business growth!

 

Why..? Firstly, they feed your customer database! Giveaways help you to collect new customer emails (before they've even purchased anything!).

 

Secondly, they spark engagement on socials. Include simple T&C's to ensure people follow, like, tag and comment for their chance to win!

 

Thirdly, giveaways create user-generated-content (UGC). According to Sahil, Founder of Kleanify, 80% of consumers are more likely to purchase a product that has user-generated content. So be sure to include photos of customers using your products to increase traffic and entrant numbers!

 

When? When sales are slow, it's time to give your business a boost with a well-planned giveaway. But to succeed, you might be wondering when the best time to launch a giveaway might be - for your brand, and for your audience!

 

Let me tell you, the timing can make all the difference.

 

For emails, send them on Tuesdays or Thursdays and aim for 8am, 1pm or 5pm. Share your giveaway on Socials, Email or both! But remember, launch your giveaway when engagement is high. 

 

How? The first email you send confirms the giveaway entrant. The second email reminds the entrant of the competition prize and key T&C's. By day 5, you will have announced your winner, and on day 6 (final email) you can provide a discount code to non-winning participants!

 

(Providing a discount code is optional, but as mentioned before, everyone loves a freebie, and it's a great way to establish new customer relations and brand loyalty!). I've mapped out your giveaway schedule below!!
